podcast mid-year review

Recap of the hottest episodes from 2024 so far.

Recap

2024 has been a record year for the Course of Action Podcast, and it’s only going to get better. Through the first week of June the podcast has DOUBLED video views on Spotify from previous years, and drove tons of traffic to the blog posts, and tripled the amount of clicks to products featured by each guest.

The goal has always been to highlight the success of others, drive traffic towards them and their products, and celebrate creativity. I think we’ve done that!

Below is a recap of the hottest episodes so far in 2024, with a peak at future guests at the end!

Check the blog for features on each episode so you can catch up!

Sarah Adams

sarah adams benghazi

Sarah Adams is an award winning targeter, former CIA officer, and the author of Benghazi: Know They Enemy. She’s been seen frequently on the Shawn Ryan Show, and she stopped by to talk Benghazi, the Southern Border Crisis, the Taliban, political miscues, and the corruption of Hilary Clinton.

Lots of good gems in this one! Most popular, and longest-growing episode to date. Published this spring, it still gets daily views today on all platforms.

Mark Greaney

# NY Times Bestselling author Mark Greaney is one of this generation’s most gifted and talented authors. He dives into his research unlike anyone else, and when he writes, he speaks from real-world experiences.

For The Chaos Agent, Mark dove into AI, and on this episode, we talk about the future of Artificial Intelligence, its benefits, downfalls, and consequences.

He’s also got the next Josh Duffy book, Sentinel, that released in late June 2024, and was back on the podcast to discuss it, as well as a swath of other topics. Check out BOTH episodes with Mark today!

Andrews & Wilson

Andrews & Wilson

The two hardest-working authors in all of publishing set aside another hour to chat with me about their spring release,  4 Minutes, a time-travel-centric book with a military twist.

This is like a modern version of Stargate, but with a realistic approach. The characters are excellent, and the story will have you burning through the pages. Plus, I heard they sold the movie rights to this one, and trust me, this will be one you don’t want to miss.

Brian and Jeff also filmed a second episode for their first Tom Clancy release, Act of Defiance, which released in late May. Check out the blog for links to both episodes!

Adam Sikes

Adam is a former Marine turned CIA officer with an addiction to coffee (Me too!). But in his latest book released this spring, you won’t need caffeine to keep you up all night. His book, The Underhanded, will do that on its own.

Adam talks his time in the Marine Corp, what it was like working for the CIA, and how to navigate writing and releasing a thrilling novel.

Ryan Steck

Hailed as the “hardest working man in publishing”, Ryan Steck, aka “The Real Book Spy”, joined me to talk publishing, social media, the Jack Carr craze, and his latest book, Out For Blood.

Out For Blood, the third book in the Matthew Redd series, is a savage, back-against-the-wall, thriller that sees Redd with nothing to lose. He must protect his family, his dog, and his livelihood from a group who is hell-bent on corruption.

This is a blistering storyline and it’s obvious why he was chosen to continue the Alex Hawke series for the late Ted Bell. Look for that first book, Monarch, in stores in Spring 2025.

TR Hendricks

Since his debut, The Instructor, hit shelves in 2023 everybody has been clamoring for the follow-up. Derek Herrington stormed onto the scene with a fury and promptly left us wanting more.

Plus, we needed to find out what was next with that cliffhanger.

In his 2024 release, The Infiltrator, Hendricks answers that question and gives us a James Reece-style revenge story as Herrington snipes his way into the record books despite a reluctant, arrogant, and stubborn new boss.
