NEWSLETTER
March 2026
I hate to sound cheap, but I’ve decided to ditch MailChimp. They just want too much money to send out information to fans and the community. It’s ridiculous when I already pay for my website and blog. So, why not just add it to the website every month? Plus, I get more views, likes, and comments on the blog, TikTok and other platforms. Might as well get with the times and go where the fans are!
S0… welcome to the NEW place for the Jeff Clark newsletter. Here’s the updates for March 2026! Bookmark this blog!
latest news
In just a few short months justice will reign supreme. How? Well, only my character Alix Drift knows how. Get ready for a novella of justified actions.
I’ve been hard at work on a short novella featuring my newest protagonist Alix Drift, a third generation rancher in Oklahoma who finds himself intertwined with the dark business and corruption that has plagued the fictional town of Wakefield. Now, he must act unlike anyone in Wakefield ever has or risk losing not just his ranch, but his entire homeland of NW Oklahoma to drugs, trafficking, and a new cartel formed deep from within the reaches of local and state politics. Every from the local attorney’s to the mayor, and even his fellow ranchers are in the crosshairs.
Think Jack Reacher and Nick Petrie’s Peter Ash meets Yellowstone.
When will it drop? Well, keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for an announcement on a release date, plus the cover reveal and much more. Get ready!
Justice finds a home in 2026.

WHAT I’m WORKING ON
Along with the sequel to my Abigail Stevens ACTS OF LIES thriller and the Alix Drift novella, I am diversifying as much as possible in order to break into the fiction world, so I’ve been working on ideas that go big—very big.
Enter my newest protagonist, Nolan Bridger.
Bridger is a former Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter pilot and my newest character that I’ve been working on. Channeling my inner Michael Crichton, I’m going sci-fi/techno-thriller/action-adventure in this one.
Bridger is on a self-imposed exile and enjoying life smoking cigars, drinking beers, and hanging with his dog Scout on the beaches of Hawaii when the action-packed world of aviation comes calling for him once again. This time it’s for the CIA, and for an unusual mission that is almost impossible to believe.
Here’s a little sneak at what the book, tentatively titled THE SUNKEN HORIZON, is all about. Action-adventure fans are going to love Bridger!
Think about the action of the NATIONAL TREASURE films with the sci-fi action and thrills of Michael Crichton’s NY Times Bestselling book ERUPTION.
Sneak Peak…
When a decade-lost US military satellite transmits a mysterious distress signal from the most dangerous region of the Pacific Ocean, former search-and-rescue pilot Nolan Bridger is pulled out of self-imposed exile by the CIA on behalf of the Pentagon’s DARPA program . The signal’s coordinates point to a place that shouldn’t exist—an uncharted island erased from all modern maps and a historied past of conspiracies run rampant and rumors of ships swallowed whole without a trace. Bridger’s only job is to lead a fiery Oceanographer named Claire to the island and retrieve the sateillite’s harddrive, but more than just the US Government are after what’s on the island. What Bridger and Claire find is more than just data on a disc, but ancient technology hidden for centuries that explain how modern technologies came to light from the shadows they were created in.
WHAT I’m READING
Gregg Hurwitz is easily one of my favorite authors. His ability to master action, suspense, tension, and dry-humor is impeccable. Evan Smoak is not just one awesome dude, but a weapon of justice while also a figure of strength. Antihero, the 11th book in the series tests Smoak in ways he’s never been tested before.
Once a black ops assassin for the government known as Orphan X, Evan Smoak broke with the program and went deep underground, using his operational rules and skills to help the truly desperate with nowhere else to turn.
When Luke Devine, one of the most powerful men in the world, has a psychological crisis, Evan flies to the East Coast to help him. While there, he learns of a young woman who was kidnapped off the New York City subway, clearly in danger and in need of aid. With no name and few clues, Evan and his team track down the missing woman, who was assaulted and abandoned. Evan offers his help―and sets out finding the young men responsible. But the woman insists that Evan abandon his usual methods―no vengeance and, in particular, no killing. Which will prove no easy feat given the mounting incoming threats from all sides. In a mission that takes Evan from coast to coast, from the poorest corners of society to the richest, Orphan X must figure out a way to protect the innocent, avenge the victimized, and balance justice with a measure of mercy.
WHAT I’m WATCHING
I’m spinning my head after watching THE OCTOPUS MURDERS. This might be one of Netflix’s best documentaries ever. An interconnected government conspiracy that includes specific targets, a journalist found dead because of his research, and a dark connection between the IRS, CIA, Justice Department, and multiple US Presidents.
And that’s just the beginning. Thrillers fans will salivate over this one! Forget about JFK’s assassination… this is maybe the BIGGEST conspiracy the US Government has ever tried to cover up! And that’s saying something considering Watergate, MK Ultra, selling guns to Mexican cartels, and much more has happened from the US Government!
TIME ON TARGET
Every month I plan on featuring a new watch with a great story behind it. The time on target this month is: Seiko.
Seiko is a legendary watch with legendary movements that have stood the test of time. When people mention watches with excellent movements history points towards Seiko and Rolex, two of the most iconic watch brands in the world. The difference: Seiko has been, and is still in the trenches while Rolex launched themselves into luxurious record books.
Both watches are great, but no watch was in the fields of Veitnam like Seiko was. No watch was traded like currency like a Seiko was. And no watch to this day is more for the modern man that Seiko. I for one, have several, including the lengedary SKX009.
Picture to the right is my Seiko 5 Sports White Dial GMT (Reference SSK033K1). It’s a hefty steel watch with beautiful glass and a eye popping face. The combo of black and blue gives off “Bruce Wayne” vibes, and the 42.5mm case fits perfectly on my arm. And at $400, it’s the perfect price for an excellent watch for daily wear or those special occassions.
