Episode 116: Cocaine sharks, First FBI Diver & Criminal Minds

My guest today is Bobby Chacon, the FIRST full-time FBI diver, creator of the FBI Dive Team and the Underwater Forensic Program, writer, consultant, and Senior Team Leader.

Bobby has over 19 years of experience in the FBI investigating the Italian Maffia, Jamaican Gangs, and more. Most of that time was spent underwater as a Dive Team member, and in this episode, Bobby reveals several stories about his time on the Dive Team, including diving under the ice in Alaska and traveling all the way to Iraq to solve a case.

The book, Born Fi Dead, as written by Laurie Gunst, is a book about ethnic gangs in America’s inner cities, and is largely about Bobby and his partner at the time during their investigations of Jamaican gangs.

Bobby has been a consultant/tech advisor/screenwriter for Criminal Minds Beyond Borders, Criminal Minds, Netflix series “The Madness”, and more including America’s Most Wanted, Breaking Homicide, Method of a Serial Killer, Hunting Hiter, Deadling Intelligence, and more.

Soon, Bobby will pen a novel and novella series, and will work on more TV and film projects.
